A public health nurse came by today.

Good evening!

Today, a public health nurse came to visit us.

I almost forgot, but she helped us with the subsidy application and measured the baby’s weight, height, and head circumference.

To my surprise, the weight had increased to 4320g! The last measurement was three weeks ago, meaning the baby gained an average of 49g per day since then. No wonder I’ve been feeling how heavy they are when I carry them lately!

Wow—kids really grow up so fast, don’t they?

We also talked for about 50 minutes, and she shared information about local mom groups and support services.

As a first-time parent, there’s so much I don’t know, so having someone to talk to like this feels incredibly valuable.

If you’re feeling unsure or anxious about parenting, I highly recommend reaching out to your local public health nurse! In my area, they offer free consultations—it’s such a great resource.
